Learning Center Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General questions

1. What system does First Coast use to host webinars?
First Coast uses a free, virtual platform known as WebEx to host our webinars. WebEx does not require an account to participate. Users are encouraged to use Chrome as the preferred internet browser or if using a mobile device download the free WebEx app.
2. Does First Coast require registration for webinars?
Yes. Registration is facilitated via WebEx and must be completed prior to the event’s start date/time.
3. What is the password for the webinar?
The password for the webinar is in the confirmation email, as well as the reminder email, that you receive prior to the start of the event. This email is from messenger@webex.com. The password for First Coast events in 2024 is Medicare2024.
4. I cannot locate the confirmation with the information needed to join the webinar. What do I do?
If you are unable to find the initial confirmation email that was sent from messenger@webex.com, you will also receive a reminder email from the same email address the morning of the scheduled event. This reminder email will have the information to join, the webinar and handout password, as well as the link to access the handouts. We encourage all participants to save messages received from messenger@webex.com to avoid this situation.

Handout Materials

5. Where do I find the handout materials for each event?
The handout materials are linked in the confirmation email that you received after you completed registration, as well as the reminder email you received the day of your scheduled event. Click on the link embedded in Download and preview webinar materials’ and enter the password listed in your email confirmation. We recommend you download the materials before the event begins using a computer or laptop. Please see our tutorial for more information.
6. WebEx is asking me for a password to obtain the event handout materials. What is the password for handouts?
The password for the handout materials is the same as the event password. This password is in the confirmation email, as well as the reminder email, that you received prior to the start of the event. This email is from messenger@webex.com. The password for event handouts in 2024 is Medicare2024.
7. I clicked the link in the email to download the event materials, but it takes me back to the WebEx meeting log in. What are my next steps?
If you are using a smart phone or tablet, you may not be able to download the handout materials due to device limitations. We recommend you access the materials through a computer or laptop. If you are only able to use a smart phone or tablet, we suggest downloading the WebEx app. This app will provide all the features and functions that are available on a computer, and it is free to download.
8. After I selected the link in the email, I entered the password Medicare2024. It took me to the link, but when I selected it, the PDF will not open.
If you are not able to download or open the PDF presentation, please contact your IT department. Your facility may be blocking your ability to download and/or open the materials. Additionally, if you are trying to download the handout materials from a smart phone or device, the file may also have automatically downloaded. Please check you ‘Files’ folder if this is the case. If you are only able to use a smart phone or tablet, we suggest downloading the WebEx app. This app will provide you all the features and function that are available on a computer, and it is free to download.
9. Will the handout materials be available for review after the event has ended?
Handout materials are not available after the event ends. You must download and save the presentation before the event begins.

Completion Certificates with CEUs

10. How do I obtain the completion certificate containing CEUs for the webinar I just attended?
Completion certificates will be uploaded to the MyCEUCertificate Gateway within 3 to 5 business days from the date of the event. For more information on accessing the Gateway, please visit our step-by-step tutorial.
11. When will my completion certificate be available?
CEU certificates will be available in the MyCEUCertificate Gateway within 3 to 5 business days from the date of the event.
12. It has been 3 to 5 business day since the event I attended, and my CEU certificate is not showing on the MyCEUCertificate Gateway.
If you called into the event rather than joining via WebEx, please email us at LearningCenterHelpDesk@fcso.com so we can assist you with accessing your certificate within the Gateway.
13. Can I use my completion certificates towards AAPC credits or for other licensing agencies?
CEUs may be awarded for successful completion of First Coast educational events in the form of a completion certificate or diploma. The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) accepts CEUs for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Medicare Administrative Contractor sponsored events at a rate of one CEU per hour. Other licensing or accrediting organizations may or may not accept First Coast events for CEU credit. Please check with your licensing or accrediting organization for specific CEU eligibility and documentation requirements.

MyCEUCertificate Gateway

14. MyCEUCertificate Gateway will not accept my information. I input the same exact information I used to register, but it is showing an error that my information cannot be found.
CEU certificates will be available in the MyCEUCertificate Gateway within 3 to 5 business days from the date of the event. If you are a new event attendee, your ability to log into the gateway may be delayed by 3 to 5 business days to allow time for attendance verification. If you are a returning attendee, you may be able to log into the gateway, but the CEU certificate will not be available for 3 to 5 business days.
The information used to log into the gateway, including your first name, last name and email address must match exactly to the information used to register for the event. Failure to input this information correctly will result in the gateway’s inability to authenticate you and allow you into the gateway.
Please note that there should be no additional spaces entered after the first name, last name, or email address.
15. How do I receive a one-time pin (OTP) code?
If the MyCEUCertificate Gateway recognizes your first name, last name, and email address, it will issue you an OTP code to the email you entered. The OTP code is a six-digit numeric code that is valid for log in use for 15 minutes after it is generated. Retrieve the OTP code from your email and enter into the gateway.
16. How long does the MyCEUCertificate Gateway retain my information?
The gateway will retain event completion information retroactively for up to two years from today’s date. Attendees are expected to routinely retrieve completion certificates from the gateway and maintain them within their own records.
