SPOT is available.
Note: If you are unable to access the SPOT, this may be due to the annual certification requirement. Please log in to IDM and verify your SPOT role status. If you no longer have a role for SPOT, follow the instructions to Add a role today.
SPOT is available 24/7, except for routine weekly maintenance (Thursday 9-11 p.m.) and scheduled outages to maintain performance and allow for functionality updates. During weekly maintenance and scheduled outages, access to SPOT may be unavailable.
Note: Secure documentation submissions received after 6 p.m. ET weekdays, or on weekends and holidays will receive a receipt date that reflects the next business day.
Additional scheduled maintenance which affects the ability to log into SPOT will be listed below.
• Due to CMS maintenance, multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes issued through email will not be available from Friday, September 2 at 9 p.m. ET through Tuesday, September 6 at 7 a.m. ET. This will result in you not being able to access SPOT unless you have an additional device setup to receive the MFA code. We recommend registering multiple MFA devices to avoid this issue.
Detailed instructions on how to register MFA devices are available on our web site: Learn how to register your MFA (multifactor authentication) device
. Once additional MFA devices are setup, there will be a dropdown to select the MFA device to be used at the time of login. The MFA device selected from the dropdown will be the default at the next login.
Maintenance for the CMS IDM system may occur during off-peak hours and may affect your ability to log into SPOT.
Urgent SPOT system alerts will be posted above and sent via listserv to SPOT users. We encourage all users to maintain a valid email address within their IDM profile to continue to receive these notifications.
