SECTION 8 – Connect to First Coast

Once claims have been entered, the next step is to connect to First Coast. To do this, you will need a Network Service Vendor that provides a SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) connection, or the SPOT to connect via internet to the EDI platform, which is known as TIBCO .
Connecting using SFTP
Connect to TIBCO using your Network Service Vendor.
Locate the file (the default location is C:/WINPCACE. The file name should be BSTRANS.DAT for Part B or BCTRANS.DAT for Part A).
Click the file name.
Move the file to First Coast.
Connecting using SPOT
Access SPOT (once enrolled).
Click on the Claim Submission/ERA feature.
Click on the Claims Submission/ERA link.
Click on the Inbox tab in the upper navigation bar.
Select the New button.
Select Interchange, within the Operations tree list.
Click Browse and then navigate to the claim file you want to submit.
Select the file(s) and click Open.
Select the Upload button.
