New Prior Authorization enhancement for JN IVR

First Coast is pleased to announce a new enhancement to the JN IVR: prior authorization inquiries. This new feature on the Part A and Part B IVR will allow callers to enter a 5-digit procedure code and the IVR will advise whether that procedure code requires (or required) prior authorization from Medicare. If the procedure code does require prior authorization, the IVR will voice the effective date and end date (if applicable) that the procedure required prior authorization. Our IVR operating and quick reference guides, available on our website, have been updated to include this new feature.
