EDI system status and scheduled maintenance

Current system status

  • TIBCO Gateway is currently available.

Regular maintenance schedule

The TIBCO gateway is available 24/7, except for routine weekly maintenance and scheduled outages to maintain performance and allow for functionality updates. During weekly maintenance and scheduled outages, access to the gateway may be unavailable. The routine maintenance schedule can be found below:

  • TIBCO Gateway: Sundays between 3 – 10 p.m. ET and periodically on Sunday mornings.

Urgent system alerts will be posted above and sent via eNews to users that are subscribed to receive First Coast’s EDI eNews. If you are not currently subscribed to eNews, you are encouraged to do so at https://medicare-prod.fcso.com/enews/subscribe. To receive EDI alerts, select the Part A & Part B Electronic Data Interchange list when subscribing.

EDI system operation hours

The EDI system is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EDI files submitted after the end of daytime indicated on any business day are not considered "received" until the next business day. EDI files submitted on a non-business day are not considered "received" until the next business day or as published. Claim file response reports may be delayed during these time periods, and for several hours after, as our system cycles complete. 

The system also allows for multiple transmissions within one day, simply by assigning a unique submission number to each transmission. Your vendor/programmer can explain how this is done.

Direct Data Entry (DDE)

DDE is a function of the Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS) Medicare Part A processing system. Access is provided via a third-party secure DDE vendor. DDE is used to verify beneficiary eligibility, enter claims directly into the FISS, verify claim status, and/or perform claims correction.

  • No DDE maintenance is currently scheduled. 

DDE operation hours

The FISS is available during the hours listed below. All hours are based on ET. 

  • Monday - Friday; 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Saturday; 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
