Open meetings are to allow interested parties the opportunity to make presentations of information and offer comments related to new proposed local coverage determinations (LCDs) and/or the revised portion of a proposed LCD that are in the 45-day open comment period.
Want to get involved? Submit written comments on a proposed LCD or register as a presenter to share your comments during our meeting.
Our open meeting will be held via webinar only.
Individuals interested in making a presentation on a proposed LCD must register
online . Registration to be a presenter for the May 23 meeting is now open and will be closed at noon on Tuesday, May 21.
Please note: Presentations submitted will be made public and included as part of the comments in the proposed LCD record. As a Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) we are required to follow Federal
Section 508 compliance guidelines, which includes documents published on our website. In addition to completing a financial disclosure/conflict of interest form, registered presenters will also be required to complete a disclosure form in order for us to publish and use their presentation as comments for a proposed LCD.
When submitting presentations:
• Speaking points and/or a summary of your presentation in a Microsoft Word document is preferred rather than a PowerPoint (PPT) slide presentation.
• Word documents and PowerPoint presentations are to be submitted in compliant Section 508 format. Please refer to the
Section 508 website and click on the
content creation for further information.
• PowerPoint presentations that do not meet Section 508 compliance requirements will be altered by the MAC to be Section 508 compliant. Non-compliant PowerPoint presentations will not be published to our website.

Observers are welcome to attend via webinar. Observers must register
online . Registration for observers to attend the Thursday, May 23 meeting is now open and will remain open through the meeting.
