Getting started with PC-ACE
First Coast is pleased to offer the PC-ACE software, designed for preparing Medicare A and Medicare B electronic claim files and translating electronic reports. Special care has been taken to ensure the PC-ACE looks and feels like other popular Windows programs. This means that you can concentrate on PC-ACE features rather than how to navigate the program. Don’t miss out on this opportunity. Minimum hardware and software requirements
- Windows 10 or 11 operating systems. PC-ACE is not compatible with MAC Apple products
- Internet connection to download program and updates
- Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 4.0 or later (for overlaid claim printing)

Communications options
The PC-ACE software does not provide a communication method for connecting with First Coast. Electronic transactions must be sent to Frist Coast using a third-party Network Service Vendor (NSV) or through the SPOT online portal. Approved NSV company names and contact information is available in the 5010 approved vendor list. First Coast does not endorse a specific NSV and suggest you research multiple vendors to ensure the services offered are the best solution for your business. Specific services and financial arrangements must be made between the Submitter and the NSV. The EDI Gateway does not support a dial-up connection for Medicare electronic transactions.
Enrollment
An EDI enrollment form is required to enroll for the PC-ACE software. Review the Guide to getting started submitting electronic claims for providers or the Guide for getting started for third party entities to obtain the proper enrollment form.
Installation options
PC-ACE is available for all electronic billing customers as an internet download at no cost. This is the recommended installation option. Instructions for the internet download will be included with your enrollment response letter. If the internet download is not an option, a CD-ROM option is available upon request with a $100.00 annual fee. Contact EDI by using the technical support information provided below to request the PC-ACE CD-ROM and discuss payment details. Do not send payment with the enrollment form.
