Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) Method II Professional Reassignments Part A

CAHs using Method II may bill for professional services only when physicians/practitioners reassign their benefits to the CAH.

Beginning January 2, 2026, method II CAH claims for professional services will return to provider (RTP) if a reassignment isn’t in PECOS.
