Mailing addresses for certain medical documentation requests have changed

Providers can receive additional documentation request (ADR) letters from various Medicare contractors. This includes First Coast, your MAC for Jurisdiction N, or from SafeGuard Services, the Unified Program Integrity Contractor (UPIC) for the Southeastern Jurisdiction. 

Respond to ADR letters from the UPIC to the following address: 

Always carefully review each ADR to confirm the address to which you should send the documentation, as it may be different depending on the contractor sending the request. Please share this new information within your organization.

Reminder: When an additional documentation request (ADR) is received from the UPIC, ensure you are returning your documentation back to the UPIC and not submitting the documentation via SPOT. Submitting the documentation via SPOT will only delay your review which could result in claim denials or an overpayment; but rather submit documentation to the UPIC that requested the information, the return address will be in the ADR.
