• SPOT is a free, secure internet-portal offering providers, billing services, and clearinghouses the ability to:
  • Verify eligibility such as Medicare secondary payer (MSP), inpatient benefits and hospice election periods
  • Retrieve deductible information
  • Monitor billing habits and verify claim status
  • Review electronic remittance advice (ERA)
  • Submit prior authorization, additional development requests (ADR), and redetermination requests
• Medicare Part A DDE User Guide Manual is an ideal resource to assist with billing and technical accuracy for claim submission. The manual provides guidance on how to enter information onto the claim pages associated with the CMS-1450 uniform bill (UB-04) claim form and provides field descriptions of the FISS screens.
