This webinar is for Part B ambulance suppliers enrolled as an independent ambulance supplier that bills for repetitive scheduled non-emergent ambulance transports. Under prior authorization, the supplier submits the prior authorization request and supportive medical documentation to the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) and receives an affirmed or non-affirmed decision prior to rendering the service. Prior authorization helps ensure that applicable coverage, payment and coding rules are met before services are rendered.
