Remittance advice FAQ

Q: May I view my remittance advice on the SPOT? What should I do if I need to request a duplicate copy of my remittance advice?
A: Yes. If you have a SPOT account, you already have access to online remittance information.
A remittance advice (RA) is a notice of payments and adjustments that Medicare contractors (e.g., First Coast Service Options) send to providers, billers, and suppliers after a claim has been processed.
Providers also have the following options available to retrieve or request duplicates of electronic remittance advice (ERA):
Download free software to retrieve ERAs:
PC-Print software -- Part A providers
MREP software -- Part B providers
Request a duplicate ERA by:
Contacting their billing service or clearing house for remittance reload requests
Note: For more information regarding RAs, please review the MLNŽ fact sheet: Remittance Advice Information: An Overview external pdf file. To learn more about RA duplicate requests, please click here.
