Common working file ‘dark day’

Due to the implementation of the January 2018 release, there will be a common working file (CWF) “dark day” on Friday, December 29, 2017. This means the CWF online health insurance master record (HIMR) inquiry will not be available on this date. Additionally, claims information will not be available through the First Coast Service Options interactive voice response (IVR) as this information is collected from HIMR. Lastly, Medicare contractor service associates will not have access to HIMR and therefore, will only be able to respond to general inquiries, such as verification of receipt of enrollment applications or general coverage of service type questions.
The Florida, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands Part A and Part B contact centers will only be open from 8:00-noon on Friday, December 29, 2017. Additionally, the Puerto Rico Part A and Part B contact centers will only be open from 8:00 – 2:00 on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
