Release notes for the October 2018 ABILITY | PC-ACE™ software version 4.0
ABILITY | PC-ACE™ software version 4.0 is available for download and installation.
Current users should be on version 3.9 (July 2018). It is always recommended that you backup ABILITY | PC-ACE™ software prior to installing an update. This update contains CMS Medicare mandates and product enhancements with an effective date of October 1, 2018, unless otherwise specified.
You must install this update immediately and stop the use of earlier versions. Failure to do so may impact your ability to transmit/retrieve claim information. Installing the update terminates the earlier versions.
If you are on a network system, please consult your Systems Administrator before attempting to load the ABILITY | PC-ACE™ update. For networked installations, it is recommended (but not required) that the update be run from the server’s console. If you do not have Administrator Rights when performing ABILITY | PC-ACE™ client installations, please refer to your internal support area regarding client installations.
The installation password for this update was provided in the release email for version 3.4 for existing users. If you were approved for ABILITY |PC-ACETM after the April 1, 2017 release, please refer to your EDI PC-ACE approval letter. If you receive an error message indicating that the password is not valid for the version you have installed, please contact Medicare EDI using the contact information at the bottom of this document.
Keep your contact information current
Failure to keep your contact information current may hinder our ability to provide you information in regards to a release or assistance with the software, including password reset assistance. To update your contact information (including email address and change in staffing) or to add/change provider information, you must complete the EDI enrollment form . Contact Medicare EDI at (888) 670-0940, option 4 if you need assistance.
Avoid deletion due to inactivity
Failure to update your password at least once every 60 days on both the website and within the software’s Reference File Maintenance-Codes/ Misc.-Data Comm database, may disrupt your ability to transmit and retrieve information.
