Welcome
Whether you’re a new or a seasoned Medicare provider, it is sometimes difficult to find your way through the twists and turns of the dynamic Medicare environment. First Coast Service Options (FCSO) can help.
FCSO has built a distinguished reputation as one of the nation’s largest and most trusted Medicare administrators since the program’s inception in 1966. FCSO’s exemplary record is founded upon its steadfast philosophy of the right things, the right way as well as its long history of diligent compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) guidelines and regulations.
When Experience Counts & Quality Matters
For more than 40 years, FCSO’s mission has been strongly linked to both the Medicare program and the beneficiaries it serves. With its home office in Jacksonville, Fla., located on Florida’s first coast, FCSO is ideally situated to serve not only those Medicare providers based in Florida but also those located in its recently expanded provider community. As the Medicare administrative contractor (MAC) for jurisdiction 9 (J9), FCSO’s services include claims processing, customer service, provider audit and reimbursement, provider enrollment, and the provision of provider education and resources.
Over the years, FCSO has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the intricacies of the Medicare program and has shared the benefits of its collective experience with members of its provider community. As the MAC for J9, FCSO is currently responsible for the provision of quality Medicare administrative services for physicians and health care providers located in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Customer focus
FCSO serves a diverse provider community comprised of health care facilities and professionals with different interests due to geographic location, specialty, or language preference. One of the most important facets of FCSO’s reputation is its strong dedication to customer service as well as its commitment to continuous quality improvement. FCSO’s customer-first initiative has resulted in consistently higher levels of customer satisfaction as well as official recognition from CMS.
FCSO’s provider outreach and education (POE) and provider website teams work closely with members of the customer service team as well as other operational areas to ensure that providers have access to the best Medicare training and online resources available and whenever possible, to have that access in the language of their choice.
Throughout its tenure, FCSO has researched industry trends, listened to provider feedback, and utilized the latest technology to ensure that providers not only have the Medicare resources they need but also can choose when and how they will receive them. From scheduling more frequent eNews communications to offering the convenience of a Spanish as well as an English provider website, FCSO consistently strives to offer providers the advantage of convenient access to the most current program information as well as the cutting-edge tools they need to submit Medicare claims efficiently as well as successfully.
Both medicare.fcso.com and medicareespanol.fcso.com offer providers an array of online resources, including the latest Medicare news as well as a comprehensive publications archive, fee schedule and local coverage information, an educational events calendar, forms, tutorials, and a variety of other provider resources available exclusively from FCSO. FCSO’s eNews service offers providers the advantage of receiving regularly-scheduled, email notifications (in English or Spanish) to keep them informed not only of upcoming educational opportunities but also of important changes to the Medicare program itself.
The POE team offers providers several educational opportunities throughout the year, including numerous training webcasts, an annual Medifest symposium, and access to recordings of most webcasts. To complement the instructor-led training events held throughout the year, FCSO University
offers providers the added advantage of online courses that allow providers to train when and where it is most convenient for them.
Where we’re going
FCSO is always looking forward and continues to enhance the services it furnishes its provider community. Providers’ comments and suggestions drive everything FCSO does.
