Website enhancements
First Coast Service Options (FCSO) strives to make its Medicare provider website your primary source not only for the latest Medicare news and information but also for the online resources you use every day to improve your accuracy and efficiency of your Medicare billing.
To ensure that our website meets the needs of our provider community, we carefully analyze customer feedback --received through the ForeSee Results Survey and the Share feedback about this website form -- and implement enhancements to the provider site to help continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Throughout the year, we make subtle adjustments to navigation to make crucial resources more accessible, develop new site additions to meet informational/educational needs related to key changes in the Medicare program, and enhance the overall design and functionality of the site to make it easier to use.
Please visit this page often to review the latest changes to FCSO’s Medicare provider websites.
Functional enhancements
The functional enhancements listed below have been added to the provider website.
• 5010 reject code lookup (Location: EDI) -- this new application offers providers the opportunity to resolve data-based issues with their 5010 claim files more quickly by furnishing easy-to-understand descriptions of the reject codes listed in an STC -- Status information segment of their 277CA -- Claim Acknowledgement. The lookup also includes a link to the help guide, which offers step-by-step instructions regarding how to locate the information you need from your 277CA as well as easy-to-understand examples illustrating how to use lookup results to make necessary adjustments to your 5010 claim file.
• Enrollment status lookup (Location: Provider Enrollment) -- this versatile application allows you to check the status of your enrollment in the Medicare program in three ways. You may search for all pending applications by entering your National Provider Identifier (NPI) and provider transaction access number (PTAN), check the status of a specific application by entering the 12-digit correspondence control number (CCN) and three-digit record number (listed in your acknowledgement letter), or check to determine if you have been sent a revalidation request letter by entering your NPI or PTAN.
